About
You reached the personal blog of Alexander 'Ali' Huber.
I'm currently working as a software engineer (TypeScript/NodeJS/React/GraphQL/Kubernetes). I have experience with other technologies as well, like Java and Ruby and various frontend stacks. I really like tinkering with new technologies and different programming languages.
I got my first PC when I was 9 years old. I'm using MS Windows since version 3.11 and Unix/Linux since 1999. While other kids played outside I tweaked CONFIG.SYS
to play DOS games.
I'm into the web since our house got a 56k modem. HTML and CSS where the first ways I discovered to tell the computer what to do, somewhere in the mid-90s. My first memory of me 'programming' was stitching together HTML pages and host them on Angelfire or Geocities.. those were the days!
On this blog I intend to write about things I created, that interest me, that bug me, that I want to save for later reference or other random stuff I just have to get off my mind.
When I started blogging in 2010 I had no idea where it would lead me, so I just started writing in English and German at a whim. This blog then somehow transformed into a collection of study notes, random tech tips and other technology and learning related stuff.
